Jaipur, the Pink City, Rocked by blasts

I'm sorry to be starting a post like this, but then it's so very true. These days, when we hear of a bomb blast taking place somewhere, we hardly bother finding out what went wrong unless there is a chance of our friends or relatives being involved. And yes, I'm not only blmaing others, but I'm blaming myself too, as my initial reaction after reading the headline was to ignore it,as I thought so many things happen in this country all the time, who has the time to bother for those?

Anyways, four hours later I have realised how grave the situation is.In case you're not living at your house,i.e. living in a hostel, etc and you hardly get the time to(or you hardly bother) watching news, let me update you.
The Pink City, Jaipur, has been rocked by serial bomb blasts, yes, it's right,SERIAL BOMB BLASTS.The timing of the blasts couldn't have been worse.7(probably 8)serial blasts took place in a space of 20 minutes, starting at around 7.35 pm in the crowded areas of Hanuman Temple,Johari Bazar, Badi Choupal, Tripolia Bazar and the surrounding areas.Today being a Tuesday, the Hanuman Temple area was particularly crowded,as were the neighbouring areas. All the localities were within a span of 2-3 km so we can only imagine what the situation might have been there,at the peak time for marketing.
Till now, 60 people have been reported dead and more than 200 injured, and these are the official figures, which means the injured list might go well past five hundred.

The usual blame game of the government has started, with those people choosing to single out Bangladesh based terrorist group,Harkut-ul-Jehadi Islami(HuJI) this time. The Prime Minister, as usual has condemned the blasts(as if we didn't know!) and must have given the routine explanations,i.e. the guilty wouldn't be spared, criminals would be nabbed, etc etc.

A few days will pass like this and then the focus would shift to something else, may be the on-going IPL, and everything will be forgotton by people,as public memory is short lived.Sadly, we can't do anything to help the state-of-affairs and only time will tell what efforts have been put in by the big-talking government to actually do something about it and, most importantly, come out with results.
